Wow Sapphi - what a read! I chose to read rather than listen. Do keep working but look after yourself ❤️ - we need articulate people like yourself to help us make sense of the debacle we find ourselves in.

This was a great summary or what's actually happening and had happened with ACT

. I hope it's going to be widely read, because it deserves to be. Thanks for your mahi.

I chose to read (instead of listening to the audio) and have no regrets: a gently rolling refresher of the interlinked journeys that brought us to the paths of division we are being herded toward now. In the short term, I have some hope that come 31 May 2025, our Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Peters, will refuse to hand over the rākau to Mr Seymour.

This was super informative for me as someone still learning the history of NZ politics. Hope they dissolve the Epsom seat.

Go Sapphi. But please don’t over burden yourself. Find some joy/fun/love in life too.

Thank you heaps for this Sapphi. I had no idea how powerful Epsom was. Lots interesting stuff in this piece. Lots of hard work on your part. I'll listen to the audio soon. Keep it up!

🤔Wow that's a LOOOOONG read😁 but excellent work 👏- I will save it under my "for future reference" articles 👀 I used to think Seymour was a bit of a doofus but have come to realise it is a handy persona he has cultivated to squirm around under the radar for those not paying close attention 🤷

IMHO what "we on the leftish" have to hold fast to is NOT letting the perfect get in the way of the better when we are thinking of how to stymie Seymour et al & work to make them a one term govt. The USA has Trump/Musk 🤮 because people were (understandably) upset that the Biden administration didn't in their view go far enough in support of Palestinians, and so they either stayed home or voted 3rd party - we can have principles & empathy & be activists but we must also be pragmatic if we want to ACTUALLY achieve the best for our political passions... In the short & long term, who is going to both be least damaging & most likely to be swayed towards our passion projects and desired outcomes? Hard as it is, if people thought it through there really legitimately IS a valid "lesser of 2 evils" decision in support of the Palestinians, the Ukrainians, the Haiitians, the Puerto Ricans, the Mexicans, the Canadians, the Europeans, the Aotearoans etc etc etc - not to mention the left-behind & disadvantaged of all political stripes in the USA 😱

🫂Good to have you back in full flight Sapphi - but take care of yourself first & foremost - we need ALL warriors in this fight 💪😇

PS will listen later so I can give feedback, but my "mental health" benefitted by watching the SNL 50th Anniversary segments today so now running behind 😂

We are fortunate that we have MMP, as it prevents an inevitable slide towards two-party politics. But with polarisation as it is, we seem to have gotten there anyway

So nice to be able to read a long, well organised and thoughtful piece of writing. So sick of short sound bites. Thank you

I maybe went a bit overboard on the length for this one… got a warning I was too long for emails. But I figure if you’re still reading at that point, you won’t mind clicking through for the end.
