I got this from my daughter's school:

Kia ora e te whaanau

On the 19th of November, Onslow will be running a school trip to witness the arrival of the Hiikoi moo Te Tiriti at Waitangi Park, followed by a walk from Waitangi Park through to Parliament Grounds.

The purpose of the trip is to help our students engage in current issues affecting our country, fostering students' critical thinking, and empowering our students to feel connected and engaged with Aotearoa's history and future.

Hell yes I want her there! I'd be there if I could but I have to be back in New Plymouth for work.

It's so good to hear that these things are happening on the ground! Thank you Rob!

👍👏💯I would LOVE the parents to send notes putting their reasons exactly as succinctly as you suggest 😍 I doubt See-less has the capacity to understand, but it is the law of cause & effect. It's hard to know whether he thinks this is a plus or a minus for his obscene Bill, but the people at the Otautahi/Christchurch activation in support of the car-koi of southern Toitu te Tiriti journey to join the hikoi when it reaches parliament, were certainly fired up to send a message in support of the hikoi, & opposing the introduction of the legislation 💪

As one speaker boiled down Te Tiriti does not need to be "interpreted" or "clarified" or "re-litigated" because it was/is a constitutional relationship agreement - pure & simple. The Maori language version signed on behalf of the majority of people living in Aotearoa at the time (Maori had been here for centuries & a few wannabe settlers for only a few years/months) is quite clear & unequivocal. A CONSTITUTIONAL RELATIONSHIP AGREEMENT between the tangata whenua & those who wished to be able to live alongside & settle here.

The most inspiring part of the day was the Tamariki performing in support - priceless educational learnings I wish they didn't need 😥 but standing up for your future should be a no-brainer, including climate change etc. 🤷🫂💪

Keep going Sapphi, you’re the tip of the Rebel Alliance arrow. Imagine a full blown exposé on this mob. Part one: A Corrupt Coalition is formed. Part two: A weak, entitled, so-called Christian, PM loses control. Part 3: Willis, Luxon’s partner in crime chooses austerity. Part 4: NZ economy hits the rocks along with its ferries. Part 5: The Crown in disgrace on treaty and care. Part 6…it’s endless Sapphi. 👍✍️😀

I think the issue is coverage and reach....not reality :-)

Very fair. NZ Coalition is an accident waiting to happen.

Its Civic engagement. Which has been missing from the curriculum for way too long. Take the kids to protests. Get them engaged. Its brilliant! Its education and learning. A perfect teaching moment! But the likes of Seymour dont want educated critical thinking young people. They want drones f9r the workforce.

I shared this to my Facebook profile. They removed it for breaching community standards regarding spam. Is anyone else feeling as though we are being silenced?

Yes. Apparently a few months ago facebook quietly started deprioritising substack and now most of the links get tagged as spam. No one online seems to quite know the mechanism looking online for an explanation, but I can see a sudden drop in my facebook traffic sources end of September...

Interesting timing.

Vested interests rule Seymour - not decency or care. And he is a very obedient lap dog.

After that, everything makes sense.

I love this. I’ve shared it twice on Facebook in the last half hour and have had it removed as spam that goes against their ‘community standards’. That’s how good it is!

Ka Pai Sapphi, beautifully articulated!
